#tolkien has a contest- draw a character not featured in Jackson's films! Go on, you know you want to participate. Or donate some sort of prize. Or something.

College acceptances are coming in (I'm transferring this fall), and I'm still waiting for a letter- the letter- from the college I actually want to go to. The one closest to home so I can save thousands of dollars and spend all of that on studying abroad in the next year or two instead. I'll be majoring in art with a focus on digital art (because you can't get a job otherwise, and I want to learn it XD). If- when- I get accepted, you'll likely be seeing more (and hopefully better) digital pieces from me in late 2010/2011.

I found noise removal in Photoshop. Why did I not know of this before? *really should investigate such things* I still have no idea what the layer properties do either I'll learn it... just like I'll learn all the buttons on my camera one day .

Upcoming:

*Aragorn and Halbarad. Because there are seriously like, three interpretations of Halbarad, and that's just depressing. HE'S AN AWESOME RANGER AND NEEDS MOAR ART. Pencil and colored pencil XD
*Re-do of Sauron. Mostly because I want to, Sauron is so awesome, and my last drawing of him is old and icky. Charcoal.
*Photos. I'm not what you would call very good, but hells, I love taking them
*You are likely going to see something really geeky from me- fan art for fan fiction. Yes! Crawling into the deepest circles of geekdom. But it's good fanfic, well-written with good plots, proper grammar, etc. And the story I'm thinking of is so adorable and is canon in my G-rated Tolkien world . Likely pencil.
*Something painted with acrylic. WTH should I paint with acrylic? Some still life, I guess. Just... practice. Because practice I need. Badly.
*After all that, I am really caught in between wanting to redo like, every single portrait of every LOTR film character (high on that list are Denethor-Boromir-Faramir and Theoden-Eomer-Eowyn combos), doing some original fan art for LOTR/Hobbit/Sil, and doing something *other* than fan art (and pencil portraits), though I have no idea what.
