Rangers: Aragorn and Halbarad

EDIT: Saw the image on a big screen mac at my school, as opposed to couldn't believe how horrible it looked. Fixed so hopefully it looks better now and good on most computers!

Man, finally finished!

So this is my interpretation of the Dunedain Aragorn and Halbarad; Halbarad is on the left.

This deviation was nearly three years in the making. The original inspiration- and partial reference- came from :devEthalynSkye:'s macro photo [link] Doodles and sketches started all the way in early 2008, but I finally really started working on this this fall. The bottom layer, shading and all, is all a traditional drawing, and once I finished that, I scanned it in and colored the whole thing in one night.

Big thanks to my graphic design teacher who taught me what the "multiply" layer option does. A lot of pencil artists strive for complete smoothness when shading, but I like what the pencil texture does. I think it looks neat.

Also thank you to my brothers for posing for me for the hand and the legs. Seriously, Aragorn's hand was the most difficult part of the drawing.
